Soot Damage Restoration Services

The experts at Craftech will clean your entire home in 2-7 days after soot damage occurs.

Although it may not seem as devastating as a fire, soot can be very intrusive and can penetrate every area of your home. Soot can be nearly as overwhelming as a fire because it will coat every inch of your home and can feel impossible to remove from every surface. That is where our expert cleaners come in. With our specialty cleaning chemicals and tools, we are able to remove the soot efficiently and effectively.

Did you know?  Different kinds of smoke require different kinds of treatment.

Craftech is your expert in soot mitigation because we approach clean up by soot type, which most homeowners may not be aware of. Identifying the type of smoke allows us to remove it faster and more effectively.

The most common types are:

Dry smoke is powdery and easy to clean from solid surfaces, but is difficult to remove from porous surfaces, including upholstery.

Wet smoke is created by low temperature fires and can leave a thick residue behind. This is the most difficult type of smoke damage to repair. Oil smoke is created by burning oil (like cooking oils) or other fatty substances that don't dissolve in water. While wet smoke can easily stain a variety of materials, it is relatively easy for technicians to clean with a speciality degreaser.

Protein smoke is created by a variety of burning food substances. It is easier to touch than see, and has the potential to permanently discolor wood.

We aim to save you as much time and frustration as possible when remediating soot from your home to help you get back to normal in the aftermath of soot damage.

Fantastic company!! Had a fire that covered my entire apartment in a layer of soot that smelled awful and was extremely difficult to clean. They cleaned every square inch from top to bottom along with every personal item in-between, even my daughter's Barbie Dreamhouse with all the ridiculously small components! Any questions or concerns that I had were answered very quickly and that really helped make this process less stressful as well. Craftech really goes above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for their services and making the apartment feel good again, almost as if a fire had never even happened!! I highly recommend their services to anyone that needs quality and honest work done!
